Pancreatica.org  -  The purpose of this site is to serve as a worldwide focal and gathering point on the Internet for the latest news and disinterested information in regard to clinical trials and other responsible medical care in the treatment of pancreatic cancer.

The National Pancreas Fundation  -  A not-for-profit organization that supports the research of diseases of the pancreas and provides information and humanitarian services to those people who are suffering from such illnesses.

The Pancreas Club, Inc.  -  The Pancreas Club promotes the interchange of ideas between pancreatologists throughout the world in an informal "club" atmosphere.

Dutch Acute Pancreatitis Study Group  -  Acute Pancreatitis Werkgroep Nederland. In total 20 hospitals are currently participating in the Dutch Acute Pancreatitis Study Group. In 2002 the Department of Surgery of the University Medical Center (UMC) Utrecht initiated the Dutch Acute Pancreatitis Study Group. This group was initially formed by surgeons from all 8 Dutch university medical centers and 2 teaching hospitals. Representatives of the departments of gastroenterology, radiology, microbiology and epidemiology completed the study group. From 2003 to 2005 additonal members from 10 teaching hospitals joined the study group. Our goal is to improve the treatment of patients with (severe) acute pancreatitis in the Netherlands by performing randomized clinical multicenter trials.

International Pancreas Transplant Registry (IPTR)  -  A scientific database collected from institutions performing pancreas transplants worldwide. IPTR goals: to collect data on all pancreas transplants performed worldwide; to perform scientific analysis on collected pancreas transplantation data; to communicate information on pancreas transplantation to member institutions, the health care community, and the interested general public.

International Islet Transplant Registry (ITR)  -  To ascertain that worldwide data on islet transplants is being collected, recorded and subjected to scientific data analysis. To supply information on islet transplantation to the participating institutions as well as to the health care community in general.

Pancreatic Cancer  - Islet Cell Carcinoma  -  This site is maintained by the U.S. National Cancer Institute. It includes current and comprehensive cancer information, including treatment options, clinical trials, literature, genetics, risk factors, prevention, testing, and more.

Pancreas Cancer Web  -  This site is maintained by the Johns Hopkins Medical Institution. It describes the clinical and research efforts at Johns Hopkins and includes The National Familial Pancreas Tumor Registry. A chat room for patients is also available.

The Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, Inc. (PanCAN)  -  PanCAN, established in 1999, is the first national patient advocacy organization for the pancreatic cancer community. PanCAN works to focus national attention on the need to find a cure for pancreatic cancer. We provide public and professional education embracing the urgent need for more research, effective treatments, prevention programs and early detection methods. PanCAN also funds research grants for pancreatic cancer, as well as providing patient services. Volunteers across the country help us to accomplish our goals.

The Lustgarten Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research  -  The mission of The Lustgarten Foundation is to advance the scientific and medical research related to the diagnosis, treatment, cure and prevention of pancreatic cancer.

Pancreatic Cancer in OncoLink  -  This site is maintained by the University of Pennsylvania Cancer Center. It represents a primary starting-point for information concerning pancreatic cancer.

Pancreatic Tumor Study Group at MD Anderson Cancer Center  -  The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center has revolutionized pancreatic cancer treatment by integrating medical disciplines together for better patient care: surgery, medical oncology, radiation, and clinical nutrition. In addition, the institution has a basic research program that is unlocking the biologic secrets that may contribute to the growth of pancreatic cancer.

Diabetes Open Directory  -  DOD is a web dedicated to the advancement of diabetes-related research and to the acceleration of information that is created by their users and different editors. Juvenile Diabetes Research Fundation International  -  JDRF is a nonprofit, nongovernmental funder of diabetes research. The mission is to find a cure for diabetes and its complications through the support of research. JDRF works to accomplish this by finding and funding the best and most relevant research to help achieve a cure for this devastating disease through: restoration of normal blood sugar levels; avoidance and reversal of complications; prevention of diabetes and its recurrence.

National Diabetes Education Program  -  A federally sponsored initiative that involves public and private partners to improve the treatment and outcomes for people with diabetes, to promote early diagnosis, and ultimately to prevent the onset of diabetes.

National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK)  -  An official web site of the National Institutes of Health. NIDDK conducts and supports research on kidney, urologic, hematologic, digestive, metabolic and endocrine diseases, as well as on diabetes and nutrition.

Diabetes Insight  -  Diabetes Insight was established to provide information for people and families with diabetes in the UK, to help them to manage their diabetes and lead a normal active life.

Diabetes for Professionals  -  The Diabetes for Professionals is a unique resource aimed exclusively at health-care professionals working with people with diabetes and in diabetes-related clinical and research disciplines, providing trustworthy and up-to-date information on peer-reviewed diabetes research, scientific meetings and conferences, diabetes care management and patient education.

SBDR - Society for Biomedical Diabetes Research  -  With the goal of finding a cure as quickly and as safely as possible, the society has determined three major subject fields in which research will be supported and promoted. Journal of Negative Observations in Genetic Oncology  -  The dissemination of negative data is a crucial component of a lean strategic plan for the genetic analysis of cancer. Reasonable estimates for the average costs of a negative study in a given tumor type might range from $5,000 to $20,000 per gene investigated. Pancreatitis Association International  -  Established to support in a proactive role the advance of research and understanding of pancreatitis. PAI offers local support groups and global online e-mail interaction to promote sharing of conventional and alternative therapies in a common goal to improve the quality of our lives.

International Pancreas and Islet Transplant Association  -  IPITA is a scientific forum for the exchange and discussion of clinical and experimental results and experiences relevant to transplantation of insulin producing tissue in the treatment and cure of diabetes mellitus. IPITA uses the power of the Internet to provide a means for members to maintain communication and collaboration around the world, around the clock.

International Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Association (IHPBA)  -  To promote understanding of the causes, investigation and treatment of disorders of the liver, pancreas and biliary tree. To encourage the interchange of clinical and scientific knowledge among surgeons and members of related disciplines working in this field. To study any relevant problems that affect the liver, pancreas and biliary tract and to facilitate collaborative research into the factors that lead to disease of these organs and their prevention.

European Pancreatic Club (EPC)  -  EPC promotes communication between basic and clinical scientists in Europe interested in the pancreas and its disorders, and promotes scientific, epidemiological and clinical research into pancreatic function and into the prevention, diagnosis and therapy of pancreatic diseases.

American Pancreatic Association (APA)  -  The purposes of the Association are to foster clinical and basic research covering the entire spectrum of interests related to the pancreas, and to sponsor an annual meeting at which unpublished research may be presented and discussed.

American Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Association (AHPBA)  -  To promote understanding of the causes and treatment of disorders of the liver, pancreas, and biliary tree. 	Australasian Pancreatic Club  -  The Australasian Pancreatic Club (APC) was established in 2002 to provide a forum for clinicians and scientists with an interest in clinical and basic research into diseases of the exocrine pancreas. The main aim of APC is to promote communication between basic and clinical scientists interested in the pancreas and its disorders.
